Tournament:

The tournament will be a team competition –each team being made up by three competitors and no less than 2. The competition will be split into male and female categories. There will be no mixed teams unless a modality cannot be held due to an insufficient number of participants.

The tournament will began with a knockout league phase. Number of rounds will depend on the number of teams; in the event of few teams, the tournament will skip the knockout phase and will proceed to quarter-final, semifinal and final.

The tournament matches will use san bon shobu (three points), lasting 3 minutes each except for semifinals and finals, which will be 5 minutes long. Regulation applicable will be that of the European Kendo Federation. A copy of the rules can be downloaded from here.

The event organization reserves the right to modify modality/rounds to grant a dynamic tournament; in this event, the club delegates will be properly informed before the competition.

It is compulsory for every participant to pass the shinai control; if any participant is detected using a dismissed shinai, competitor or team may be disqualified if referees judge it appropriate.

• How to get there?

Train arrivals:

From Joaquín Sorolla AVE station: you will need to take line 5 (green) in the underground with destination Marítim-Serreria to get to Colón station. Once there, you will need to connect with line 3 (red) with destination Alboraia-Palmaret or Rafelbunyol to get to Facultats.

From RENFE North Station: you will need to take line 3 (red) with destination Alboraia-Palmaret or Rafelbunyol to get to Facultats.

Plane arrivals:

In Aeroport station, you will need to take line 3 (red) with destination Alboraia-Palmaret or Rafelbunyol to get to Facultats.
